This may be known as the oldest bookstore in Oregon but it has so much more to offer. The staff there are very polite and the owner is a real gentlemen. It's dog friendly and you can find a wide variety of literature there. I love the quaint feel and the mixture of new, used and vintage books. The staff is always very attentive but not pushy. I can always find something I love their even when I'm just browsing. I've bought anything from the Hunger Games to books on Quantum Physics. If for some reason they don't have they are always willing to order it for me. Oh and they give out free bookmarks! You just have to love supporting a small business like this one.

Always the first choice when a gift is needed. Great staff, knowledgeable and quick turn around for ordered books. Unique option and cards for all occasions.

Great selection of books, although I wasn't able to find the one I was looking for. Still, a great bookstore with a staff that's friendly and helpful. A must visit if you're in the Dalles.

Like all old independently owned bookstores Klindts is a place that you can actually smell the book, touch the pages and feel its weight. Whether you make a purchase or not, you come away with the same feeling you had when you visited your first library.  B.P. Nicasio
