I’ve been going here for months now. Just like anything else, there’s pros and cons. 

Pros: they have the equipment needed to reach your goals, enough cardio machines upstairs, the Zumba/yoga room is always clean, staff is nice, and they are always cleaning when I’m there, always have foam rollers. 

Cons: they don’t provide staff with good enough cleaning products. They do a great job/work hard to maintain cleanliness, but it still smells. This gym is old, Invest in better quality products. The machines work but they are also old. I couldn’t believe how outdated it was downstairs. Also, the women’s sauna is NEVER hot!!!! I barely sweat when I’m in there and there’s no where to control the temperature. 
Also, I’m informed the men’s sauna and bathroom smell too, not great when trying to refer someone to this gym. Start renovations, please. Also, weights are always tossed and not re racked. Which is also laziness on gym members too. 

Whether you pay $40 a month to use all locations or $20-$30 for just this one, it’s ridiculous that other gyms are cleaner and have more newer equipment. I do like going here, but i don’t feel it’s fair for the price point at all. If it wasn’t for convenience I’d have a diff LA as my primary.

This place has everything you need in order to accomplish your goal. Deadlifts, Squat rack, free weights galore. The people that complain about this gym are probably the ones that are on their cellphones snap chatting the entire time during their "workout". I recommend this gym for serious gains.

Used to be Ballys and they didn't bother replacing / rebranding the dumbbell weights...that set the tone of this place. The gym is in bad need of renovation. Equipment is old, rusty, and dirty. Not well maintained, the weights are all over the place, couldn't find the dumbbells I needed. The staff is not cleaning up the weights or refilling the towels, just sitting chatting and looking at their phones. Not impressed at all. This place feels like a high school gym...not a membership funded gym. The salesperson did a switch and bait scheme on us, offered one deal but forget he sent us by email a better deal. Totally lost my trust and I am not ever coming back. Crunch was worse by comparison or maybe equal.

I’ve been to several of the “exclusive” la fitness clubs around New York, only to be let down by the incredibly rude staff.
This place was super nice. Everyone is nice, from the juice bars to the trainers. They’re the only reason my entire family didn’t cancel.

Also I posted a pic of all the LA fitness was in New York, for the idiota who said they’re aren’t any. 🤓

I had a guest pass and manager from the club called me and asked what time I'd come. I said I was with the baby and was interested in the babysitting and that I'd come at 3 pm. When I arrived there, he said that the kids club was closed from 12pm to 5pm. I asked - Why did you tell me to come at 3 then, and he said - Come back at 5. 

I came the next morning. This is the WORST baby club ever. Room with no windows, ZERO toys, just walker for younger babies, table and chairs. Kids just sit there and watch TV. They don't play or even talk there. The lady who was supposed to watch after kids was on her computer. 

Club's manager name is Percival N and oh what a coincidence someone with the same name left a 5 star review on Yelp. 

I don't care about outdated machines (what else do you expect for $30/mo), you can still workout, but babysitting is horrible there.
