Open seven days a week, Ladder 133 truly redefines the sports bar genre by boasting various forms of entertainment intended to satisfy a wide array of tastes. Whether you enjoy indulging in our full menu of comfort foods with family and friends, cheering on your favorite sports team on one of our state-of-the-art, high-def, plasma wide-screen televisions, viewing the local or world news, catching up on the day's events by picking up one of our collection of newspapers and magazines, or engaging in fun and exciting live entertainment you thought you had to venture in to the city to capture, there is something here for everyone!

Built in 1902, the building was originally the Douglas Avenue Fire Station, home to Union Hook and Ladder Company Number Three. Upon entering the establishment, you will be captured by the antique reception and service tables which once served as dressers to the firemen stationed in the barracks over one hundred years ago. Your eyes will then be drawn to the captivating nine-foot canvas painting- done by Providence's own Ian M. Gaudreau displayed in the rear of the restaurant. The image portrays a striking representation of the door's original use: to transport horses out to graze and back in to pull the ladder wagon at the sound of the bell.

The bar, a detailed relic of centuries past, was constructed out of solid mahogany in Chicago in 1888 and has served saloon patrons from San Francisco to Nevada to Arizona. We discovered the vintage treasure in a storage area in Denver and had it transported 2,000 miles to Providence. Sit at the bar and enjoy it in its original beauty, with the exception of several bullet holes the structure endured over 100 years ago.
