Definitely a great place for a family camping trip, it is one of my family's favorite. It's a nice short drive from home, which makes it a great weekend getaway. The area for tent camping is nicely maintained and the bathroom/shower facilities are always clean.  They have plenty of RV parking and is pet friendly. Adjacent to the camping area is a day park that offers fishing, basketball courts, baseball fields, a playground by the river covered by trees, a city pool (admission is 2.00) , and you can also rent canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats.

We were surprised to find this beautiful park, lake and other facilities so under used.  Maybe it was the April time of the year.  Great place for family camping and dog friendly.

It is a beautiful park but I feel they need to be more up front with people regarding cable. You either have it or you don't. We are at the park right now and have been for three days and one more to go. We have had two channels the last two days. Come to find out the cable hasn't worked for six months. It would have been nice to know before we made reservations. There are other nice parks around town.

We were there to visit my sister while the VW get together was going on. It wasn't obnoxious at all and my sister said that it was quiet at night. Busy during the day but not crazy.
