We stayed here recently and absolutely loved it. Very nice property. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The other campers were extremely friendly. We were within a couple minutes of several wineries. The speed limit is 5mph, but it’s the same as every other place in the area. We never felt like it was that hard of a rule to follow and the staff didn’t harp on it. There is a ban on wood fires, but it’s there for a good reason. That area is very prone to fires and is regularly under a burn ban in that county and throughout the hill country. Propane fire pits are allowed. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will be back again soon.

We recently stayed here over spring break. After reading the reviews about the policies I was a little concerned as they are not posted on the website, or at least I didn't see them. Once I read them they were all pretty much common sense. The bad reviews seem to be from people better suited to going to Cancun for vacation. Grounds were nice and quite. The staff was friendly. The campsite is conveniently located to a whole list of places to go. We were constantly on the go so didn't spend a lot of time there during the day. I felt secure in leaving the trailer as they seem to keep good track of who is coming and going other than the registered campers. Would definitely stay here again. Just don't go to the gas station next door if you forgot anything. Major price gouging. Walmart is only a few minutes down the road.

Avoid. They cancel your reservation and then charge your a cancellation fee of $10. I value my privacy, I did not want to provide my phone number. I apologized to the staff member I talked with because I would not give my number. Minutes later my reservation is cancelled. I called, talked with Lisa. Lisa explained that they needed a number in case they wanted to contact me, and because I would not provide one, she cancelled the reservation. Great, their unpublished policy. I asked for a refund of the $10 that was kept. She said no because it was their policy that cancelled reservations were charged a fee. If I cancel it charge me $10. If the KOA cancels it, they charge you $10? No. That is a scam. Luckily there is a KOA corporate who can intervene in difficult situations. WHAT IS KOA'S NATIONAL CANCELLATION GUIDELINE? If you need to cancel your reservation, you must call the campground before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. If {I} need to cancel, there is a fee. Read the other reviews and camp wisely.

I stay here when I work in town 4-5 weekends every year. I’m so tired of the speed police. It’s cheap. It’s nothing fancy. But for the love of God if I have to listen to an in-briefing about their speed limit for one more second I’ll lose my mind. I’m out at 6am every morning and come back at 7:30pm every night. I literally idle through their poorly marked lanes at 4mph only to have them follow me at 6mph in their dumb ass golf cart, park behind me, and tell me “thanks for slowing down” I gave zero response. “It looked like you were going a little fast through there so thanks” Me: “I wasn’t, I literally idled through at 4mph” “Well it looked like you were going faster” What calibrated eyes through 20 RV’s in pitch darkness can distinguish between 4 and 6 mph None. I feel like the only way to not have these people heads up your ass would be to park across the street at the gas station and walk in. Ridiculous

I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!! The owners are bullies. They will disrespect your kids and your guest that come to visit you! They will try to disgrace you when you put up a bad review about how you were treated. They will threaten to kick you out and not refund any of your money. There are many really nice places to stay other than this one!
