This place is amazing. Primarily RV camping, although there are some tent sites available. Most RVs are there season-long, but there is a section of sites available for short term usage. Direct access to Lake Gaston. There is a camp store with most essentials, as well as a nice in-ground pool available.

Great place to stay! With a nice pool and excellent staff. The only negative is the noise cars and golf carts all night, typical RV camping though.

Absolutely loved this place! Staff was very welcoming, campers were a big help and friendly, and there was a ton of things to do with the kids!!! Got 2 more trips booked there already!

I love this place! But dont get the membership through thousand trails!! It seems like it would be worth it but it's not. You don't get anything special besides the fact you can reserve a spot 2 months in advanced and at that point the holidays are pretty much booked anyways. Plus I cannot call Outdoor world and place a reservation if I am a member but I can if im not a member which is just stupid. the place itself though is worth every penny (even without the membership). it's on a first come first serve so once you get there, you find the spot you want and then book the actual sight and pay. Most likely you will not be on the water directly but i have been 2 steps away every time ive gone. the bathrooms are spot on clean and theres one around every corner! the mini golf needs a face lift but you forget once you start playing cause with it right next to the water, it becomes so much fun! They have childrens activities almost every day and every friday (or maybe saturday) night is a dance for the little ones! So cute to see! :) their convenience store is perfect! Everything from ice cream cones, to burgers, ear plugs, wood, ice, sun screen, beer, anything and everything you may have forgotten or want to get. Even little momentos and hammocks are available!! The pool is clean and doesnt get too crowded ive noticed and the playground right next to it is a great way to get the kids out of the pool.

There's a lot to love about this campground, with lots of waterview spots even factoring in the permanent sites. The place is impeccably clean and the staff was universally friendly and helpful. The manager, Peggy, clearly loves her campground and her campers and wants to make sure she does everything she and her staff can to make each person's stay memorable. The "Trading Post" is a store that has most of the essentials (both RV and convenience store items) as well as a grill where you can get breakfast, lunch, ice-cream, etc. The grill part wasn't open on the Thursday when I arrived, but it was open the rest of my weekend. Prices at the store/grill are extremely reasonable and you don't feel like you're being price-gouged for convenience. The only two "needs a little work" items were the gravel roads through the campground and the lack of working wifi for most of my visit. That said, I've never been to a campground with consistently usable wifi and have my own solution for this. By the way, I've seen some commenters say they had no cell phone/internet service on their phones. I've been here three times (two visits and a stay) and had at least three Verizon bars every time. But those two things pale next to all the other amenities at the place like the pool, multiple beaches, availability (not thru the campground but through third party people) to rent pontoon boats, kayaks etc. The other very impressive thing were the sheer number of staff people here taking care of everything very quickly and efficiently. I had an electrical problem (which turned out to be of my own making) and someone was here literally in five minutes. Anyway, this is my new fave and they'll be seeing a lot of me:)
