Great place for camping. We went to the first-come-first-served spots early on a Friday afternoon and had no problem finding a good spot. They didn't fill in too much over the weekend, probably because it was cold. The fire pits appear to be cleaned out after each guest, so it's hard to come into a bed of coals when making a fire; means you'll use a lot more wood. Overall was a good trip. We did not do any hikes, but will surely go back for them.

I made a reservation for 12/8 months ago and had to call to re-schedule 12/8 since the weather changed for the worse while travelling it was snowing/sleeting/freezing roads and was told NO by park staff (very short and unhelpful interaction) no help at all offered - VERY poor customer service. I was told by the reservation center when I called that I could do this if I called the park directly. The park manager refused to acknowledge extenuating circumstances and had zero compassion as well as the staff I spoke with. They advised I could still come even though I advised the weather conditions were unsafe. They seem to have forgotten that customer service sometimes requires more than answering the phone. I highly suggest other campgrounds

This is my family's favorite place to take our camper. We don't live around here, but the drive is always worth it. The scenery is beautiful, the bathrooms are well kept, but most importantly it doesn't feel like your surrounded by people; there's a pretty good amount of space in between campsites. The lake is great for tubing, kayaking, and they have a roped off section of beach for swimming as well. My whole family and I love it here!

Such a beautiful place on earth can be ..so simple..so serene ..so vast yet so within one's view .. only be dreamt in the morning dream !!!!

Awesome place for family to chill out.... Also good place for photography as I could able to see lot of birds over the water...
