We stayed in site 32 for a couple days in October. It really is a nice campground with lots of trees. The rv sites are nice and well kept. The kids playground is in good shape and my daughter had fun. The waterfront is nice and could be nice in the summer, but we heard it gets crowded. A couple "ISSUES" we noticed during our stay. There were kids fishing right in the designated swimming area for most of a day and the camp hosts saw them and were told about it and YET did nothing! Be careful swimming! Also, for what is supposed to be a Corps of Engineers campground they sure didn't use "engineers" to build the fairly new bathhouse(south of site 32) with showers and toilets. There was no hot water during our stay!! It is nice EXCEPT for the fact that the floor does NOT slope to any of the shower drains and there is literally 1" of water or more in the whole bathroom - even the sink and toilet area!! The camp hosts didn't understand it either and seemed to try to squeegee the water into the drains to no avail as every time someone took a shower the bathhouse flooded. I took showers and most of the water DID NOT go down the drains! Also, if you swim here - be aware that during our stay there were hundreds of geese taking up residence at the swimming area and poop was everywhere on the beach!! Enjoy that thinking about swimming next summer! It was nasty!

I am only giving it a 4 because I was not a fan of the bathrooms. Call me spoiled but I've been to other campsites that are more rural that have actual toilets. I ended up climbing down the bluffs to pee because that was better for me and my bottom. BUT that's my only complaint. Everything was great there, it was beautiful, our campsite 094 was exactly what we expected, the staff was very friendly and helpful and our neighbors were wonderful when we met them. The campsites are nicely spread out so you can have privacy and there are tons and tons of trees. We cooked our own food so not sure how the restaurants are around there. The gas station to get firewood and drink mixers is only 5 minute drive.

This a beautiful Ozark campground, with huge trees, deer, and lots of squirrels. We camped in our large tent trailer in spot #093 over Labor Day weekend. The spot was deep enough to get my pickup out of the road after the trailer was opened up, it had quite a slope to it, and was difficult to back into, as it was at a 90 degree angle to the road. We did have plenty of room around us, and did not feel like we were right on top of the neighbors. There was electricity, a concrete picnic table, and a level chip graveled pad for a tent or canopy within our spot. The "shared" water is an overstatement. The loop we were in had zero access to a spigot, in fact, I'm not sure where you would get water at this campground. Thankfully we had filled our holding tank and cassette toilet prior to arriving. For the hundred plus campsites there are 3 shower stalls total, one of which was out of order. I'm assuming the women's side had 3 as well. The shower floor was not sloped for drainage, so you are wading around in a puddle when entering - bring your shower shoes! The park attendant upon check-in was friendly, but the other one on the golf cart that I crossed paths with was not. Overall, we would return, just beware that you need to bring in your own water.

For as expensive as it is to camp here, the campground folks at the booth and on the golf carts could be a little more friendly. If they are that unhappy with their jobs then find some younger people who can appreciate the opportunity that they have. Maybe if they had locals running it then it would seem a lot more welcoming. I think that the work may a little more than these senior citizens can handle with are Arkansas heat.
