Simple, laid-back campground. But maintenance ignores the bathrooms! Clogged drains in the showers, mice, hair on top of hair, spider webs. I stayed two days here, and saw them mostly hanging out and talking. Very nice host near upper RVs. Quiet at night (from campers), but you can hear the traffic from main road. There's a farm behind the campground w/ cars coming in late at night and early morning, so bring earplugs.

We stayed at this place to visit family in Davis. Fortunately we were not staying around the camp because they were doing construction 25 feet from our site. The electricity was fine as was the water. The main issue we had was the 9pm curfew (they lock the gate and you have to walk in) I have not had a curfew in many many years. I will not return because of this issue. I do had heard afterwards it is not a safe place at night .... thus the locked gate. But hey they told me to leave my vehicle out in the parking lot before the entrance ... ended up not being a problem.

Excellent staff! Park Rangers are awesome! There is beautiful scenery. Peacocks are everywhere. Very relaxing get away with full hookups (if you have an RV.) They allow camping also, as well as great day access.

For the day area side...Me and my friend were looking for some easy hikes around the area, and we found this place. The only "trail" we found wasn't kept up at all and was overrun by thorny berry bushes, so much so that it blocked off the trail and we pretty much stopped before we even started. Made me wonder what they do with the 6 dollar parking fee they have. It seems like a great place to go kayaking though. And there's peacocks all over the area, so that was a nice little surprise. Definitely not an area for the outdoorsy adventurer, but if you want to enjoy a picnic in the park or bbq or want to take little kids with you for a day outside, this is the perfect place.
