Lots of history to be explored. Took my 6 year old niece, even she found it interesting and became a junior scout. The assistants at the museum are super friendly and have an object find game to inspire even the little ones.

Great place to learn about the gold rush. Tons of buildings with information on what they used to be. There is even an old timey blacksmith that gets fired up on the weekends. On top on that it's a beautiful spot to take pictures with the family.

This is a great place to take the kids! It's a bit of a drive down some windy roads, but it's definitely worth the trip. We spent an entire day here and still didn't get to everything. Check out the Visitor Center and ask for a Jr. Ranger booklet for some fun activities for the kids to do during your visit.

A historical dream. Great walking trail showing the process & machinery used in the first gold mine efforts in 1848. Friendly people with detailed info to answer your questions. Free except for parking @ $8.00.
