Story

Lakein’s Jewelers of Hamilton was established in the United States in 1913. It was run by Isadore Lakein, and later, along with his two sons, David and Samuel. At one time, there were four Baltimore locations, as well as one in Florida. The family continues to run the Hamilton location at 5400 Harford Road, which was opened in 1934, the same year that Samuel Lakein married Gertrude Gerstein. The last location, to recently close was 515 South Broadway in Fells Point. In the end, this location was run by Bessie Lakein, David’s wife. David passed in 1968. Bessie ran the Broadway store, along with her brother David Tissenbeum, and Zona Boltralik. The Broadway store closed the same year Bessie died, 2005. Currently, Lakein’s Jewelers of Hamilton is run by Warren and Marilynn Lakein, along with their daughter Marcia Lakein Snyder, graduate gemologist.

I haven't even gotten to this jewelry store yet, but the phone convo alone was phenomenal. Aaron, was not rushing me,  you could tell the guy was way above average intelligence -wise, and he was up front about every detail I asked which were a few:) ( including a general ball park for resizing my ring { after asking specific Q's about the ring}, which most people will not even speak to you about on the phone, which is annoying). Let's also note that the store  actually answered the phone:)  I asked him a philosophical  question as well, that has to do with customer service.  He really impressed me. I am def taking my jewelry here, and will go see their selection for future buying  options.

I have been a customer of lakeins for over 40 years and they are the best in customer service,quality merchandise,personable and always friendly and professional expertise with any questions you might have.

This nice family jewelers is a very incredible store. Magical. I would have to say. I use to be allergic to jewelry never entered a jewelry store store in my life until Lakens. 

I find them to be kind of majical.
I know that one is never supposed to say never.  I do know that I will never wear a dress. However just for fun some day I will wear a skirt suit for something that I am working on very diligently to right a wrong as I'm a disabled person being mistreated. 

No I'm not okay with what is going on. What makes things easier to tolerate is treating myself to jewelry from Lakens as well as paintings that a fantastic artist paints.
