Story

Langway Toyota of Newport is a private family owned dealership in Middletown, RI.

Upon graduating from St. John's High School and Boston College, our owner and President Jim Langway purchased his first dealership at the age of 24 and currently owns four successful dealerships in Rhode Island and Southern Vermont. He instills a strong belief in building lasting relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction with every interaction.

Our dealership features a state-of-the-art brand new facility, from our showroom to our service area and our top-rated full service collision center.

Together with Langway Nissan of Newport, the 10 acre property features an inventory of over 600 new and pre-owned vehicles. I bought a used car from Langley about 7 months ago. The salesman was great, the whole process was a good experience. Since then we have brought both our cars to there service dept for routine maintenance. Yesterday, I brought my car in, a nice young woman at the counter took great care in helping me. I waited for the car in the waiting area which was clean, and a pleasant spot to sit read or watch TV. When the car was done she found me and off I went. Today I brought our other car, not so good. The service man I believe was Peter, he didn't introduce himself, made me feel like I was bothering him when I asked a few Questions? I again waited for my car, after about 2 hours I went to the desk to ask about my car. Peter said it was done that had called me and looked for me, I never left the waiting area and he called my husband cell not mine. He again seemed bothered by helping me....on Friday I will be bringing in a 3rd car for service, hopefully the nice young woman will wait on me again Pam Thomas

SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Would give 0 Stars if I could I purchased a 2012 Chrysler 200 with 9,800 miles on it from Langway when it was Premier. I also purchased an extended warranty with NO deductible as long as the vehicle was serviced at the dealership it was purchased at. I only EVER had the vehicle serviced at Langway including ALL oil changes. Fast forward to 2016 still under warranty and vehicle had 51,000 miles on it. In the dead of winter I had to bring the vehicle back 4 times for the same heat issue that they did not fix. And BECAUSE they could not figure out the problem I was told to find a Chrysler dealer to fix it. THEN the car started to randomly stall at will. I again contacted the Langway service department and was told I would get a call back from the service manager well that was November 2016... I'm still waiting. I have since traded in the vehicle at another dealership. And it is really sad because the issue was the vehicle and had the service department treated me with respect and dignity I would have purchased another car their because my sales experience was great! BUT once the car is sold LANGWAYs service department does not care about you or your car unless you purchased a Toyota or Nissan. Well maybe if that is the case they shouldn't sell anything BUT Toyota's or Nissan's.

We have been extremely happy with Langway Toyota. This is the second car we bought there and they were extremely helpful. The salesman, Josh, was quite knowledgeable and we never felt "sold" to. We were also very happy with the price on our car, which had just 5,000 miles on it (almost new!) and was in great condition. The price was very competitive and we are thrilled with the car. Thank you, Langway!

I had an awesome experience with Mitch Carter, and all the staff at Langway Toyota. Mitch was very knowedgelable about cars. he explained everything to me in detail to made sure I understood; How things worked. He worked with me to make sure I got the best car. This was by far the best experience.

I was hit in a car accident right before Thanksgiving which totaled my car. They were very helpful in working with me on the 2010 Prius I wanted. I did the research, they processed my financing application ahead of time before going there, and tried to make it as quick as possible. They were busy and it took a little longer than the norm but someone kept checking up on me to make sure I was informed on what was going on and how I was doing. I left that night with my new car! I also work retail and even making special arrangements to accommodate picking up my new plates since its difficult with Christmas a week and couple days away! I also live 1hr away so that is very helpful. This is not my first car, but this is the first car I bought that I didn't feel like someone was being overly pushy to buy like your stereotype car sales. Felt welcome, and I liked that.
