The don't allow phone service anymore after 5pm... however These officers have to deal with all type of locals that are very dangerous to say the least. Sure LAPD has gotten a bad rap, 8 out of ten are great. That's not bad. It's Los Angeles County Crime that's to blame. Crime is at all time High right now, All officers have gotten some kind bad publicity over the years, however in there line of work, it's called putting your life on the line for others. That doesn't mean I hate when they give me a ticket. But it's my fault I ran that red light 12 years ago, and all the other tickets I got where justified. I've gotten pulled over 3-5 times living in Los Angeles more then 30 years. All times I received a ticket. Never got up set, but can understand getting pulled over in South Central L.A must be challenging. Word to the wise, drive carefully. And yes the response time needs improvement! But the crime is off the hook right now.

Sad to see my tax dollars wasted away without any type of representation . If you are not dying, bleeding or burried already they won't go to your assistance.

if you live in the area and need the police, please do not hold your breath. Twice my home alarm has gone off and the alarm company notified police department and twice they didn't show up. I was left to go inside my home by myself to see if everything was ok. I don't have a male living there just me and my daughter. I'm so disappointed and annoyed. Luckily both times it was false alarm. I understand they have more important things to do, but really...tax paying home owner and this is how i'm treated.

Went here to do fingerprints but they happily pointed me to other agencies since they do not service that here. Front and indoor lobby area were clean and officers acknowledged you when you walk in. Big plus for handicap access front and center. Look up El Camino PD which is the only law agency who will do fingerprints for the public. Gardena PD will only do it for city residents.

I constantly call this dept for police reports at my job and I will say they don't care to help anyone. I'm sure they like collecting their tax payer checks however. It's sad that they can't build relationships with the communities they serve.
