If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. I ended up having to report these people for insurance fraud, as they said multiple times they were in network, and foolish me believed them. Only to come to find out, that they were out of network, and sprung several hundred dollars of new charges on me, which I had to go into debt trying to pay. When I confronted them, they told me that I was lying, as was my insurance, and they maintained they were in network. They were very lovely upfront, but the second you dare to ask a question, or bring up that something doesn't look or sound right, then they are extremely condescending and rude. When by the time you get off the phone with them, and you are in tears, something has definitely gone wrong in the way you're treating people. By far the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. Don't bother responding to this review, as you certainly didn't care what I had to say when this all happened at first. I've tried for over a year to figure things out, and y'all never cared then.

I received an email saying thank you for the good review. An update...not so good. Receptionist did not let the staff in the back know I had checked in. ...Long wait. Went back for check up. Confusion on all parts. X-rays, when to do them. Hygienist, no where to be found. Procedures done out of order. Hygienist trying to sell me on products that did not match my lifestyle or history. Hygienist giving me a completely worthless periodontal gum reading-didn't even check half the gum tissue, yet calling out bogus numbers. I have a long history of periodontal history and know what is a good exam and what is not. Will never use this hygienist again. Then the doctor came in, must not have read my chart and tried to gloss over my issues. Funny, because at my first visit he made completely different comments and didn't even know what procedures I received at his facility. They made a treatment plan, of which I never received to re-do a filling and do a crown, not to mention my next appointment. As I tried to leave after nearly 2 hours (for a cleaning) their computers went down. The receptionist said she would call me to relay the treatment plan, cost and next appointment. Has that happened? Nope. No call. Shocker! Recommendation - Find another dentist and periodontist. This group is good at sucking you in but the treatment severely lacks. Periodontal care, you have to pay out of pocket because the only procedure they care to try is a laser. Done.

Dr. Platt and his exemplary staff are literally the best! I've been going here since 2012, and everytime the service is wonderful, the staff is friendly, and the environment is welcoming. I've had amazing results from my dental and orthodontic care, and I always recommend my friends to go here!

Tricksters will add expensive, additional treatments onto your visit without telling you they aren't covered by your insurance. Don't go here unless you have deep pockets! I went in for a cleaning (covered by my insurance) and was tricked into a $157 gum cleaning procedure without any discussion about whether the additional procedure would be covered. I had to call 5 times before anyone addressed my concerns, and Lasting Impressions Dental Care's response is that they were just following procedure, and that they don't need to inform patients about out of pocket costs before performing these sorts of operations. If you don't like surprise bills for hundreds of dollars, then you won't like your experience with this dentist.

Dr. Platt helped redo a couple teeth done by a shoddy dentist in June. His office manager pushed for me to redo all 6 teeth at once but I was very reluctant to do so having no prior experience with Dr. Platt. He did a great job on the two teeth that he worked on. He is efficient and focused and does not waste time chatting. However, because of my prior traumatic experience I asked him too many questions for his level of comfort and time and hence he dismissed me before I could complete the rest of the work. It seems he was offended by my questions and took them personally to mean I lacked trust in him. Three months later, I sent him several emails asking him to please finish the other three teeth in the treatment plan. He did a good job on the first two and I am reluctant to take a chance with a new dentist for anything major. I have not heard back from him which is upsetting. UPDATE since lasting impressions response: I NEVER expected a 4 to 6 hour visit. This is FALSE. Dr. Platt told me I ask questions that only dentists ask and I should pay to take his dental seminar if I wanted the answers. This was over the phone and after I paid an $800 bill in full for him to work on two teeth. I did return his call and wrote a dozen emails. I confronted him about the possibility of nerve exposure during the treatment of my tooth. He was very evasive about this and and that is when he made the excuse of my expectations not meeting the offices because I expected x amount of time out of my visit. All while avoiding my question. It was like pulling teeth to get any answers out of him. I said this in the nicest way possible in review above: that Dr. Platt takes questions personally. I gave a great review and still this warped response. Also, I have not heard back from Dr. Platt since my recent emails to him asking him to finish the rest of the treatment plan. I feel very abandoned. He is a good dentist but patients deserve responsive communication. I was in tears when the office manager pushed me to have all 6 teeth done all at once. My assertion to do only a couple teeth at a time vs. six was twisted into a false projection that I expected more time out of my visit. (this was on my very first visit!). Good dentists don't put a time limit on teeth because every situation is different! However, biomimetic restorations do take longer. I was slaughtered by a conventional dentist- 6 restorations in 40 minutes which put all my teeth in pulpitis and half the fillings falling out, leaking, etc. Asking how long a filling will take is an important baseline question to gauge where a new dentist is coming from and was completely misconstrued and used against me to evade legitimate questions post treatment and post payment. I am thankful to the other reviewers here speaking up about the strange communications and treatment by this office. I was willing to look past all of it but have been ignored. If I did not have any major issues this would have been enough for me to be really pissed off like the other reviewers and give one star but Dr. Platt recognized my issues better then any dentists I have seen and I have seen a lot of dentists! I really appreciated that and thus wanted to finish the work with him. He also flooded my teeth with ozone which gives the tooth the best chance to remineralize and prevents sensitivity. I am suffering from chronic pain since seeing an awful conventional dentist that has altered my life. Dr. Platt seemed to assess the situation quicker and more efficiently then any other dentist. However, his prices, office dynamics, and communications are clearly stressful for many. He takes offense to questions. The days of blind trust toward the 'doctor god' are over and many dentists will have rude awakenings as patients become more aware and demand accountability and collaboration around pricing, communication, and dental procedures.
