Visited this past Saturday night. Best French brasserie I have visited. Great food, cozy environment. Male bartender overcharged by a few bucks while not providing a receipt. A lovely busboy saw me standing at the bar and brought over a bar stool. Will definitely go back each time I am in D.C. despite bartender mishap.

Wanted a delicious cheese plate while in town and Le Diplomate was highly recommended. So glad we went!! We let our waiter choose from their fromage selection for us, and we were not disappointed. Amazing selection of cheese served with nuts, honey, fruit, etc... The bread and pastries were so fresh and baked perfectly. A truly french experience not to be missed

This is a very popular brunch location for good reason. I went with seven other people and there was not a single complaint. I ordered the omelette and I have been trying to replicate it every since. I highly recommend stopping by for their brunch.

The best food in DC. And the best service - as long as you know how to appreciate good service, and don't harass the staff. A TRUE French bistro when they have become a rare commodity. Some of the best values in rare wines I've ever seen in the USA. You pay for what you get, you GET what you pay for. Highly recommended.

I love this place. The only downside is that you have to book well in advance but it is very much worth it. It's quite a large restaurant with a very nice bar. The place was almost full when I was there. The music was nice, so overall a good atmosphere. What I especially like is that although the music was loud and the place full, the place place did not feel overcrowded and we could have a conversation at our table despite the music volume. As for the food and service, I have nothing but praise. All our dishes were excellent and our waiter, Nabil, was a very nice gentleman. Slightly on the expensive side ($116 for 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 1 dessert) but would certainly recommend it without any hesitation.
