There was about a half hour wait to get a table on a Wednesday. But that is understandable, given the service and quality of food. The service was top notch, for a good restaurant. The server, Dora, really made us feel like royalty. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and after we had eaten, without asking a question, she dropped off the desert menu. Man all the food was good. If you notice in the pictures, the provided knife is totally clean. That's because I totally did not need it for my braised venison. My wife had the pork shank, also scrumptious. If you are in the day area and looking for a top notch restaurant, look no further.

Came here as a reprieve from only eating at home due to the ever popular Whole 30 diet. They have a robust selection of meats, the bacon stands out, if you're in the mood for variety though, the meat board is the way to go. It isn't the most popular brunch, lunch, dinner spot in Logan Circle but isn't without it's own charm. A funky choice off their brunch menu is the eggs with veal brains. Although a catchy name, it's nothing but but a few scrambled eggs and indistinguishable pieces of meat for $16. A fine meat destination if that carnivore in you is calling.

This place is AMAZING! The baked Brie is definitely a must. For a main, I shared the French onion soup and bacon-wrapped pork belly (photographed) and it was phenomenal. Service is great, atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It is a place you can either get dressed up for or just come as you are. Definitely coming back again

Food is always tasty and stick-to-your-ribs satisfying. I'm surprised how easy it is to walk in a find a table at this place. The bar is satisfying and staff friendly. Met some friends with a toddler once here and staff was more than helpful. Looks like a good option for everyone!

Great dinner with coworkers. Solid whiskey selection. All the food was excellent. I have no regrets with The Shank for my dinner entree.
