Really nice campgrounds well shaded. The mosquitoes are absolutely the worst I have ever experienced bug spray wasn't doing anything Smoky fire wasn't doing anything to repel them. But if you can get over dime-sized mosquitoes sucking the life out of you. It's a very nice Campground good fishing family friendly and super kid friendly. They had a class on spiders for the kids on Friday and then Saturday was a potluck with live music.

We enjoyed visiting this park. It was clean (including the restrooms) the picnic areas were nice, the walking paths were not very long or varied, but it was a nice little walk. The historical information available on the Louis and Clark journey was well placed. Playground acceptable but not huge. No beach; it has been allowed to grow over and is now a grassy home to geese, so they should update the website accordingly. Basically a small park with pleasant views, nice for a picnic, not a ton to do. Camping available, looks crowded from a quick look while driving by.

Very nice park. Nice biking paths. Campground is TINY. Good luck finding a spot. Otherwise very nice and secluded. Train tracks are super loud and very close. Park is near Atchison, easy access.

Too open, if you prefer a more woods experience camping, this isn't the place for you. This place feels like camping in the backyard. There are homes all around the park. Only one shower house for 70 campsites. Just not what I consider beautiful.

Amazing campground. Quiet, nice shaded spots, playground right in the center that is great for the kids. They even sometimes have park ranger led educational games and singing by the campfire on the weekends!Major drawback was the mosquitos, which there are tons of in the evenings/at night, but if you don't include those then this park would be stellar.
