Excellent place to bring kids for a "field trip". Even fun for adults. I had the opportunity to be a volunteer a few years ago, and even though I was doing laundry and food dishes and cage cleaning, it was fun. The best part was feeding the animals. I got to feed a baby raccoon and we fed little birds 3 times a shift. This place is a hidden gem. If you find an injured bird or animal, they must be native to California. If not, they have to euthanize them. Call them if you do find an injured and they will usually tell you at that time whether they can treat or not.

What a great community resource. Most of the animals and birds have rich stories of how they came to the museum. The raptor demonstrations are very informative and exciting. The behind the scenes at the animal hospital, is very cool. We saw the techs feeding baby birds. The entry fee goes to caring for the injured animals!

Awesome place to teach kids love and care for nature and wildlife. Something to do for all ages. Small kids will enjoy rabbits and Guinea pigs, older will like birds and operation room. Multiple workshops throughout the day. Plenty of parking. Gift shop.

Pretty cool place. I feel it is hidden. Great to take kids, price is good. decent amount of parking. Park and playground is behind and now the community swimming center as well. Friendly staff, animals to see and good stuff to buy!

Such a wonderful experience. The staff really cares about what they do and go the extra mile to educate and involve visitors. The kids activities are fun and the learning experience is worth the annual pass. I attended a special event and highly recommend it for the unique experience.
