I've never been to this hardware store but today I was in need of a hammer drill rental. I explained to the guy I was installing a pellet stove and had a 12" masonry bit to create a hole in the brick wall for the exhaust pipe. For some reason we couldn't get past his need to know what size hole I was drilling. I explained I'd be drilling many holes around a circle and tapping out the middle. Still he demanded to know what size hole I'd be drilling. Again I told him what size bit I had. I'm not sure what his problem was but we failed to communicate. He then told me if I burned up his drill I'd be buying it.
I said "forget it, nevermind". 
So, in my mind, if I told him what I was doing he should have been able to figure out what I needed without arguing with me.
I won't be spending any money at this place.
