Story

Revel in dramatic Pacific Northwest scenery from this KOA, terraced into a hill-side with inspiring views of a Douglas fir forest and beautiful sunsets. You'll enjoy the campground's peaceful country setting and convenient location. Situated about an hour from Portland, Oregon, and Olympia, Washington, it's an easy 2-mile drive from I-5, yet far enough off the highway to offer a quiet respite. One of the nation's most dramatic natural events occurred close by in 1980, when Mount St. Helens erupted. At the campground, you're just a few miles from the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center at Silver Lake, where you can learn about the eruption and visit scenic viewpoints and trails in and around the blast zone. This KOA is an ideal base for exploring the area or a convenient overnight stop in your RV.Your hosts: Brian, Ingrid, Adam and Hunter Orndoff.

And for all you fishermen or ladies, we have some of the best fishing sites all around us and just minutes away. There are so many things to do, such as go to the ocean or find a festival - there always seems to be something going on! So, set up your camp, then come to the office where we can help you find the adventure you desire. Come back in the evening and relax, planning for your next day of fun. North, south, east, or west, there are always things to do and see - some just down the road and some just an hour away. Nature is all around and it's calling you!

This is the nicest and friendliest camping site I have been to. The staff is helpful and there are a lot of things to do in the area. It is very kid friendly with clubhouse and outdoor activities. We have met some amazing people here! There is a sense of community when you first drive up. I had 3 different folks offer to help me set up when we first got here. If you are staying for 1 day, 1 week, or longer, there is something for everyone. Feel so lucky to have found this place.

Great place for a quick local getaway "stay-cation" everything and everyone one was polite and respectful. Enjoyed our day trips up to St Helens volcano, silver lake and downtown Castle Rock.

This RV park sucked. They lost our reservation and when we arrived were in able to find. Turns out somehow they got my ex-wife's name on the reservation and it was under her name. I just happened to be looking at the stack of arrival paperwork and saw her name there. They pack you in like sardines. We were in a 30 amp RV space and lucky to get 15 Amps out of the service. We called the office to complain and they sent over the manager. He came to the door and said He would check it out. Never came back never heard any reply from them. Very Poor customer service and a poor example of a KOA campground

Made a reservation for three nights, but regretted it when we got there. Tent sites were indeed very small and you end up understanding everything your neighbors are saying. Showers were cold, very unpleasant. The restroom/shower building is very downhill, so kind of a climb back up to your site. At the front desk it says to rate them a 9 or a 10 or they lose their KOA status. Compared to all other KOA's I've been I don't think this one deserves to wear that name. I thought it was very expensive considering they do not have anything to do. Would not come back.

Laid my camera on the counter while checking out and forgot to pick it back up. When I realized what I had done I called to speak to the camp host and they insisted they hadn't seen it in spite of being able to tell me what make and model I was looking for without my prompting. I called the police but without having any evidence they were unable to do more than take my information. Call the KOA again repeatedly and they refused to answer or return my phone calls. Will never go back to this location again. If I could post flaming negative stars I would. I have no picture to add because some asshat stole my camera.
