Very clean station. Lots of historical plaques and architecture. There is even an old telephone booth. Microwave, drink machine, snack machine, small free library for your reading pleasure. If you have a layover there is a playground outside for kids. Pick nick tables. Restrooms for passengers only. Be aware that trains are on a strict schedule so when it's time to go you better be there!!!

The very first I took an Amtrak from Longview to Ft. Worth was April of last year. I know this is late but I had to tell my experience on here. Okay on Saturday, April 2nd, I got up early with my bag to walk to the station. Soon as I got there, it was a few probably before they were open. It was 7am and there doors were open, I went inside with my bag to the ticket desk and there was a black older man that works up there. They only got two people working there. So I went to the desk to obtain my train tickets and when I got my ticket, the black older guy was rude and that he talking about that I need to checked in my bag. And he was extremely rude. So he was talking about that get everything you needed while you riding the train. So I got everything and they just took my bag to whatever it need to be. So sitting at the train station waiting on the train to arrive and then unexpectedly a group of woman came. And some of them had their bags with them and some were checked in. I thought at first, this station was getting enough customers. So anyways...fast forward to the train arrived and when I got in the train, I was looking for my bag. So I asked this woman where my bag and she responded..."I don't know what your is or what it look like" in a rude way. So during my trip, I kinda felt that I wasn't treated respectfully like everyone else is...and that it makes me feel like down. As we riding the train, I'd enjoying my self listening to some music on my phone. I was trying to get on WiFi but it never worked. At 2:20pm, I arrived at the Fort Worth station and got off at my destination. When I was looking for my bag, I had to walk back and forward looking for it. And when I saw my bag, it was in this cart they was hauling. So the people who was driving the cart, they through my bag along everyone else on the ground and I had grab my bag and they said something about it. So my experience with Amtrak was ok and that next time whenever I ride the train, I'm gonna have my bag with me.

Longview station has the rudest reps i have ever met. I take the amtrak twice a month and the only station where the employ literally waves you away from the window to finish a personal phone call then when shes finished contines by saying now what do you want. Completely unprofessional amtrak should be ashamed of its employees at this station
