Great place to visit. Although I chicken out once we got near my 15 yrs old son rode by himself. Everyone was nice. Great customer service. Son said ride was great. Would definitely recommend this place. Will visit again if in the area. Was out of our way on our visit but totally worth it.

It's a must experience attraction! It's a part of this great country's rich historical heritage! It's a feat of mechanical and engineering marvel! If you get the chance, don't pass up this opportunity. Don't forget to bring some money for the binoculars at the top of the mountain, let the scenic beauty thrill you in all it's glory! There are also yummy treats up top, and dozens of knick knacks and keepsakes to bring home and remind you of your special adventure! May also want to bring sunscreen.

The friend of mine with call it a nerve-wracking experience, I enjoyed my time on the lookout mountain Incline Railway. Your guided on a historical narration over a speaker as you ascend upward and downward. I also highly recommend that you try the ice cream parlor in front of the ticket line called clumpies. They have an ice cream they're called the firecracker which combines pop rocks and cotton candy. It's to die for.

It's a cool experience, as it is has the steepest slope of any incline in the world. There's a good view of the city, which is made easier by all the windows available in the car. However, if there is a long line, it may not be worth the wait. We probably waited for 2 hours, and ended up missing the Battles for Chattanooga battlefield at the top. There are only 2 cars, and it takes about ten minutes for one to return to the bottom (or top). They can't always do a good job of filling the cars because of varying group sizes. My suggestion is to just prioritize your time. And remember, if you go up, you probably need to go back down, and there are lines at both ends!
