Took the Christmas Dinner Excursion... can't express enough how wonderful this experience was. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable making it an educational adventure as well as a very relaxed festive dinner with friends. As a group we reserved the private dinner car and it was worth the little extra expense. Will do this again, hoping to make it an annual event.

Extremely great value and very interesting. We first took our child when he was about 1 year old thinking he may be too young for the train and boy were we wrong. This has become a near monthly adventure for us that our now 20 month old has come to expect. We can't pass by any train related items with out a "choo choo" from the child now. They give tours of the shop where they repair train and demonstrate a 100+ year old turn table. For adults they offer an upgrade for a small fee to ride in the actual engine as it pulls the passenger cars on the missionary ridge local.

Nice relaxing train ride and interesting show of rotating the locomotive on the roundtable. However, no bathrooms on the train or they were not working. Maybe it's different in the warmer months. I recommend it for kids and anyone interested in trains.
