A lot of great food! Awesome service as well! Had the shrimp fajitas they come with beans, rice, all the toppings and chips and salsa! To much food, I ask for extra sour cream and he brought me a small bowl unfortunately he charged 1.50 extra . I only need a little since it didn't come with a teaspoon full. My friend took me here today for a belated 65th birthday lunch. I hadn't patronized this place, since they were in the building down the street, and before they moved in to the present location. My experience with the staff was excellent back then, and excellent again today, attentive, very friendly, personable, and welcoming the moment I walked in the door. Excellent atmosphere, and great food. Outstanding wait staff an older man. Lunch, in my opinion, is reasonably priced. A good memory was made here today. I recommend it, and, from now on, will return often.
Love it...GREAT SERVICE...Super food!!! Update: 11/15/22 Still love it! GREAT SERVICE..and Super food!! Although, today our food was SOOOO MUCH more elegant!!! This restaurant has added a special touch to step up its hospitality! Lovely choice!!! Very eye catching as well as being delicious!!! Vegetarian options: There was Vegetarian options on their menu. Kid-friendliness: Wonderful place to take children, kid friendly. Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Easy for handicap person all one level and handicap bathroom was extra large.
Excellent! If that isn't enough, then the staff is awesome. They are attentive, fast and friendly. Food is super delicious and I've had a lot of different items, minus anything fishy. Go try it, I bet you will be extremely satisfied like we are each time we dine there.
July 2022: Still happy with the great service, good food, cold brews & cleanliness. Our server Isidro was very attentive & professional. December 2020: What a great place! Three of us went to dine here because of the two out-of-towners in our group, one asked to go there as it "looked promising!" Parking close to the door is at a premium on a Friday night but I did get one. Next time I'll head to the middle of the center's lot & walk. Upon our arrival, we were greeted immediately; it was approximately 7pm. Full of people, there were a few tables open. I was the only one who ordered a margarita on the rocks with top shelf tequila. It was very good. I was able to successfully & discreetly tell the lovely & genuinely devoted to her job waitress that it was one of my friends' birthday. We ordered a seafood fajita, shrimp vegetarian enchilada & a beef & cheese burrito; all of which had rice or beans accompanying the entree. Best of all was a bowl of large, fresh guacamole, chips & by request, some of the hottest hot sauce the had. Whew! Plan on sweating through that sauce! We didn't care for the preparation of the guacamole as it was in small chunks of avocado, onions & cilanto. Had we have known, we would have requested the smooth & creamy guac that is easy in which to dip tortilla chips. Lastly, two of us ordered dessert & the birthday dessert came, complete with the entire waitstaff singing a happy birthday song in Spanish, clapping & hollering loudly. It embarrassed my friend but that's the point, right?!! My dessert was sopapilla which is usually accommodated with vanilla ice cream & instead they served it with dabs of whipped cream on the plate. I only recall one other dessert which had sopapilla with a cinnamon / honey poured over cinnamon, sweet fried corn chips with dabs of whipped cream. So, next time, I will order fried ice cream in hopes that it is more traditional to that of most Mexican restaurants . Overall, great food, generous portions two of us took leftovers!, friendly & helpful waitstaff, priced reasonably. The very, very worst was the womens restroom. It was dirty, dark & needed an overhaul. Yuck! At least there was enough paper to dry my hands but it was not pleasant in there. *This restaurant is a MUST GO!* And EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY! UPDATE: Ate here again, June 17, 2021 & still wonderful, friendly service. We sat outdoors & it was wonderful. Most tables were in the shade which was perfect since it was hot out. I had lunch 2 corn tacos with special request grilled fish, black beans, cheese & I asked for avocado. The plate came loaded with the tacos, side dish of rice with queso & the avocado was sliced & on a separate plate. It was really wonderful & I took home the 2nd taco as one filled me up. My friend & I lingered for over an hour after eating & the waitstaff was in no hurry to have us leave. Very nice time, great food & service!
Food is good! I like their beef hard tacos. The ground meat is sometimes raw inside so make sure and ask for them to cook it well. They have colored taco shells. My parents enjoy their caldo de pollo chicken soup. Typically La Parilla is my favorite Mexican place to dine at, or hacienda Vieja off 92 in Woodstock, but I'll add this to my list as well when I'm visiting family.
For a first visit it wasn't half bad. My 16oz house frozen Margarita really hit the spot and they certainly didn't skimp on the alcohol! The chips and salsa weren't bad, but the chips weren't homemade either....too bad. We didn't order appetizers. Not certain if they had beer on tap, but the hubby ordered a Coors Light and he was told it was bottled; not a problem and it was cold. Our dinners were actually pretty good and not badly presented, but the guacamole, looked as funny as the sour cream.....that was depressing, but the taste wasn't bad. They did have live music which was unexpected; a guitar player....not Spanish music, but not a terrible voice either. He played to the age of the crowd. Dinner for two, 2 drinks for under $40, with live music on a Wednesday evening and I didn't have to cook.....it wasn't too bad. We'll definitely be back to give them another try
