Lulu's has a double personality, part casual dining - similar to Denny's - part lounge, more like an slightly upscale neighborhood bar.  I prefer having my diner and drinks on the lounge side as I enjoy both the service and the clientele there.

You can order off of the full Lulu's menu on either side.  I had tried several items, including the prime rib sandwich and the chicken wings.  The prime rib sandwich was too fatty, even for that cut of beef.  The wings were mostly small and skinny with no dummies  at all - just flappers.  They were not deep-fried, as I prefer.  Just frozen wing parts that were reheated and sauced.

I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was just okay, maybe a 6/10.  Still, I enjoyed my visit there.  The bar staff were friendly and used my name often and made me feel welcomed.  I will be back.

This is one of Redding's gems! If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out! Try the chicken fried steak, or the prime rib, or the breakfasts... so good! The staff is awesome too, treats you like family!

A local favorite. The owners have collected their favorite recipes from across the US and serve them up fresh. Don't miss the throw back local bar that's off to the side. You can't beat one of their bloody marry's and a monticristo sandwhich on a Sat morning after a long Friday night 😉
