I got my boyfriends truck painted for him as a gift. At first every thing was great the vehicle looked fantastic.  Then as they say the maaco quality came through.  3 months later and the truck i got painted for my boyfriend looked worse than it did before.  You can tell they didn't take time to do anything right they didn't take turn signal lenses off, sloppy tape jobs everywhere, rust runs when it rains from the pieces of trim they didn't remove to sand under.  They refused to do warranty work.  When I complained they simply said I didn't give them enough money to do the work in the first place.  So why did they say they would do it for the price they did? Were I come from I don't put my name on something that i wouldn't guarantee. Basically Maaco doesn't have the skill/knowledge/tools to get a restoration job done.  I could have given Maaco an unlimited budget and the result would have been the same.  Maaco can be compared to the fast food of body work.  The experience/quality is simply not there. I'm not posting this to bash the rookie owners (The young estimator Jared that works there has poor knowledge of good body work which caused an initial under quote of my vehicle along with several additional charges they called me with while working on the vehicle)  If you have a vehicle you genuinely care about GO TO A REAL BODY SHOP.

Had the rust repaired on the two rear fender well areas of my mom's beige 2005 Equinox. They did a great job matching the paint and making it look like new.  The service writer was friendly and seemed knowledgeable.  The quoted price seemed reasonable.  If I think to do so, I'll update the review in a year or so and indicate whether the repair held up.

I had Maaco paint 3 of my cars over the last few years and they have all turned out fantastic. 2 of them were color changes and nobody believed they were painted by Maaco.
I have heard horror stories about Maaco but they really did great work for me and i am very happy with their service.
