They close the mall and side doors 5 minutes BEFORE CLOSING!!! If you are inside, good luck. Employees were leaving registers and walking out the door before 8. When told to go to a different door to leave, they will close it as well. There was no store manager to help. Nicole, a dept manager could have cared less. ***Store manager called, hopefully this doesn't happen again ***

I shopped at this Macy's before the holiday season and it was a great experience. I was asked if I needed any assistance on several occasions, even though I was just browsing. It was easy to find the clothing I was looking for and it is always a great surprise when an item rings up on sale, even though I didn't think it was on sale. Macy's has the best clothing selections and prices that are very reasonable.

This location is trash. I have never witnessed such bad management in my life. The managers are always so rude and arrogant. I asked to speak to one and the nice cashier called and I waited for 40 min. just to be asked if I still needed help... wow... horrible... They stereotype everyone and are just rude and nasty. Horrible.

This is by far the worst experience I had for customer service in any store I've been in in my whole 64 years of age. The kids in the store although they were watching me and looking directly at me when I waved to them for help they literally turned around so they could continue to talk with each other totally ignoring me.  When I finally went over to talk to one of them to try to get there assistance she acted like I was bothering her.  She didn't assist me except to point across the store and say  "what I was looking for was there"  I did find what I was needing on the far wall but when I walked over to the fitting room to try on the slacks the girl finally got off her  a** to come tell me they already cleaned those  fitting rooms  and pointed across the store and told me I would have to go over there to try on the slacks obviously because they didn't want me to mess up the fitting rooms. On the way over to the fitting rooms I decided to look at some shirts but then five minutes before closing they shut off all the lights other than the Isle lights to help you get out.  I put down all the clothes I had on the closest shelf and walked towards the door I came into the store through. On the way to the door I found the escalators turned off and when I finally reached the door I came in to the store from (the primary parking lot doors) they had pulled the gate so I couldn't get out then making me walk even farther to get to a door on the far opposite side on the bottom level So the worst customer service I have ever experienced, no lights, no escalators, the running all over the store to try on clothes and the door that lead to the primary parking lot being blocked off making me go to a door on the far side of the building which literally made me walk clear around the shopping mall to get to my car. Had I not experienced this myself I would have a hard time believing that any store having to deal with customers would have that frame of mind and that attitude towards their customer.  Although I think the way those kids treated customers is beyond rude I don't really blame them, kids are kids and without manager intervention would slack off anytime they could that's just what kids do.  but management should have been controlling them and training them because it's a manager who allows kids to treat the customers that way, it's a manager who shuts off the escalators before all the customers are out, it's the manager's decision to close down fitting room before the store is closed and it's the manager who turns off the lights so they can kick customers out of the store faster.  I don't know if this is company wide  but definitely  the people at the Macy's in Ventura California  from management to customer service have no consideration at all for their customers and in fact seem to act like they wish you would have never entered the store.!!! Believe it or not this has made me want to try out one or two other Macy's stores in other locations and see if it's the company or just the bad Management in Ventura. If it is company-wide I should sell their stock short because they will never survive with that kind of service.  If it's not company-wide corporate needs to fix their problem. They need to replace the management team with one that actually knows the value of a customer they need to train their employees on how customers are supposed to be treated and they need to set up their policies that show the customers they are valuable to Macy's otherwise just say goodbye.
