Who would've thought you could get such good pizza in Simpsonville?  Well, I do now.

Being married to a New Yorker, I've adopted fairly high standards for pizza - regular chain stuff just doesn't cut it anymore.  The other night I had a wild hair and decided to try a new place - enter Mr. Mario's.  We called to place a to-go order - they answered the phone immediately, were polite and helpful, and genuinely seemed to care.  Pizza was ready when I arrived (when they said it would be ready).  Customer service was friendly and diligent.

The pizza itself is where this place really shines.  We got a supreme: tons of toppings, quality mozzarella, and oh sweet baby cheese the crust - best crust I have had to date in the upstate of South Carolina.  They also included what I consider to be the best part of another pizza chain's restaurant - the garlic butter.  I ate until I had to unbutton my jeans, lest the button be blown off by my muffin top.  It's that good.

Overall, they've got a new fan in me. Don't shy away from this hole in the wall place - Mario knows his pizza and I imagine I'll be back there ordering pies within a week.  You should too.

Excellent pizza. Crust to die for. Friendly atmosphere. Clean restroom. Pleasanty surprised for a spur of the moment, out of the blue stop. 🤓

Microwave soggy jalapeno poppers, "wraps" are really just a weird burnt version of an open edge stromboli without sauce. The prices are great because they're buying the worst possible items to serve and reheating it. Gross, don't eat here.

Not a fancy place but the service and the food were excellent. I only got a single slice (with toppings), garlic knots, and a drink and I couldn't eat it all. It was also made quickly. Tasted good and the portions were huge, definitely a great value for $7 total. Will be returning.
