We visited during a busy Labor Day weekend, but we found plenty of opportunities to get away from the hustle and bustle. Restroom facilities at the visitor center were clean and fully functional, and maps were available to read. We hiked two of the trails from the visitor center; each walk totaled around a mile. Trails were free of debris, cleaned, and--in places of high water--elevated with beautifully crafted walkways. Wildlife roamed in and out of our sights during our 3-hour visit, but we did not see any bald eagles. We'll be back to try to see them!

This is one of my favorite parks in Northern Virginia. It has become more crowded in recent years. Nice wooded areas for grilling. Nice view of the bay. Nice, but somewhat short, hiking trails

Love this state park!  I usually find myself alone on the trails and maybe run into 1 or 2 people. Great views and fresh air

Incredibly well kept trails, beautiful views, and peaceful hidden wetlands are what I will remember from our visit here this past weekend.

A great place to just relax and bird watch. We've seen two beautiful Bald Eagels on one of the outlooks. Great hiking trails that are not too crowded.
