My 5 year old son asked me why they only had a sign for people to pick up after their pets but not "themselves" since the park was littered with trash.  "Please pick up after yourselves"  as well.  Keep this place nice and clean for the next person.  

This is a good place to launch your boats, kayaks, canoes, etc.  Just make sure to pay the fee and put it in the box or else you will be ticketed.   There is ample parking for vehicles with or without trailers on an adjacent lot.

Penguin Paddling llc. across the river is mucb better. They are only a few dollars more, but very much worth it.

I go up there and go fishing and have a great time.  However you need to keep kids out of the water when there is people who are trying to fish and give the fishermen some respect and to be courteous.

The park is an ideal spot if you like to kayak, paddle board, or fish. A new visitor's center is being built, which will be a nice addition to the area.
