Good for kayaking, walking, some biking on the path or camping. The "beach" is really stoney. It's a nice win getaway if you don't want to travel far.

This place is incredible. We arrived by boat. Hard to believe hundreds of thousands of people live on the other side of the water. Very peaceful.

Great location and view. Bit of a hike back up after camping and not a lot of privacy between camping spots. Still extremely enjoyable.

It is a beautiful park,  with an amazing view of Rainer mountain.  I only wish there was more trails to  walk around and explore this beautiful area.

I camped here through the King County / Vashon Adv. partnership. There are 6 primitive camp spots you reserve online about .75 miles from the parking lot. The hike out is quite steep, but the park is stunning and the campsites are very clean. My only complaint is the porta potty had not been serviced in months and was not usable due to the strong smell. Usually I wouldn't expect one camping, but it was advertised on their website. Overall, I would definitely recommend and visit again!
