The McAllister House was built for Major Henry McAllister and his wife Elizabeth in 1873, when Colorado Springs was a fledgling town known as the Fountain Colony. The McAllisters were influential in the building of Colorado Springs, and their beautiful home remains today to give us a glimpse of intimate family life during the 1870s-1880s.
