Story

McConnell Automotive has been a General Motors franchised dealership in Mobile, Al since 1955! It began three generations ago with Cadillac & Pontiac on St. Louis street and eventually moved to the current Dauphin St location in the 70's. McConnell has had the privilege of selling many other wonderful brands at the current Dauphin st location, to include Hyundai, Cadillac and most notably Mercedes-Benz. However, the store is now focused on its current Buick & GMC franchises. By combining GMC's professional grade quality and BUICK's unexpected luxury with their excellent pre-owned car department, McConnell Automotive is well positioned to meet and exceed customer expectations for generations to come! McConnell is one of the best dealerships we have ever dealt with. Our salesperson, Peggy O’Brien has been one of the most helpful things McConnell has to offer. She is more than willing to look at numbers to see if it is even possible before wasting time. She is always fast to respond to any questions or concerns we have and have had the pleasure of doing business with her and McConnell. We will definitely be back when it’s time for another vehicle!

McConnell automotive is a great place to buy a car. This is the second time I have purchased an auto from them. Their service department is wonderful. They take care of their customers. My salesman Bruce Helbig did an excellent job of making my purchase easy and satisfactory. He worked very hard with us to get us the vehicle we wanted. My husband and I are both very happy with our purchase. We will definitely be a repeat customer.

What a great experience! Bruce Helbig, our sales person, was extremely knowledgeable, honest and most of all incredibly patient!  He went above and beyond his call of duty to ensure that we were all taken care of. The whole entire process was very fast and efficient. Thanks so much!

I just purchased my 12th vehicle from McConnell Automotive. I am pleased with the deal as always! Gene Carney and Peggy McBride are both great. They go above and beyond for you! You can buy with confidence that you are getting the best deal around! As an old grandma, I am not always treated with respect because I am a "mere woman", but never at McConnell! They treat you like you are the only person in the world buying a car! Love them and love my Envision!

This was my first visit and my first time to buy a vehicle by myself and  I had a great experience at McConnell - Peggy O'Brien was my salesperson.  I can't say enough nice things about her - she was very nice, helpful, made me feel at ease and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I wanted. I bought the vehicle that day and she set up all the features on my new vehicle and went out of her way to get it ready for me that day.  Not only Peggy but everyone at the dealership was very nice and I felt like I had been there many times and it felt like home.  Thanks for making this a special experience and I will certainly go back.
