McNamara's is consistently top notch, always exceeding expectations. I've tried many items and because each is so good, it makes selection difficult. The Steak and Guinness pie is a favorite. I love dipping the fries in the sauce. The Irish stew is fantastic on a cool day to warm up. The Corned Beef and Cabbage will make anyone who dislikes cabbage change their mind. I order it with a side of cabbage just to get more. The Scotch eggs are unique and a great novelty; the Corned Beef bites are great as either appetizer or meal. My wife's favorite is the fish and chips, my ultimate favorite is Lamb Tenderloin. There's Guinness, Bass, etc on tap as well as other beers, and a fantastic selection of Irish and Scotch whiskies. Live Irish music many evenings, and it's always good. (Many times in Nashville the live music is not so good) The crowd joins in the fun songs for a joyous time. Tuesdays is trivia night upstairs. When it's crowded or if you're solo, sit at the bar for quick service.

Oh my goodness; it was so perfect and such a precious place! Live music was so great. We had a blast! Awesome atmosphere and good specialty drinks. Staff was so friendly and sweet. Highly recommend.

My favorite place in Nashville! We will come here every time we visit Nashville! The bartender, Bill, was great, accommodating,and efficient. He is definitely an asset to this place and deserves a service award! Smithwicks Draft is my new favorite brew! (&I am extremely picky about beer) The food was great, definitely fresh-made potato soul & my husband was impressed by the Shepard’s pie and Irish Coffee. The pot of Irish tea was so delicious!!! Perfect afternoon pick-me-up! And the atmosphere was perfect for an Irish Pub. Seemed Authentic to me! Definitely will come again many times over and definitely recommend!!!

One of the best Irish Pubs I've been too outside of Ireland. I stopped by while visiting Nashville and staying nearby. I went on Saturday night and got the traditional Irish breakfast, it was fantastic. My wife got the french dip. She said it was very good as well. My only complaint was the Guinness was a little too cold. They had live music which we love and our kids had a good time. We will def. be going back next time we are in the area.

This place was fantastic. I asked the waitress what she recommended. The Clare Coastal chicken was fabulous. I had an imperial pint of Guinness to go with it. Later the blackberry cobbler was the best ice had. I added the pot of tea "complete with milk & sugar" suggested on the menu and it made the evening even better. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere felt like family. The place was busily decorated with Irish blessings hangings. I was alone this evening b on one of my last days in town for the conference. But I didn't feel lonely here. At 7, the Irish music started in the music pub area upstairs and the melody filtered down to my table. Very glad I came. I highly recommend this place as a "do not miss it" if you are in Nashville.
