Experienced and excellent in transmission repair. I searched and called around when the transmission of my VW had problem after warm up. John is very knowledgeable, honest and helpful, explained the potential causes. Avoided a total transmission rebuild. The repair was still expensive, but it was due to the high parts cost of junkies in German cars. The car drive fine now.  -----Hector.

Damn expensive very good honest work.  After a truly horrific experience with a con man, I did my research and brought my Audi S6 here.  The price was stunning (compared to a Ford) but the work was top notch.  I now have well over 50,000 hard miles on this transmission and it has held up completely. If you wind up unlucky enough to have to get a S6 transmission rebuild, at least if you come here you can trust it will be done well.  Thanks.

The dealership told me the only solution was to replace the transmission in my ten year old car, and the price was more than the car was worth.  A friend recommended that I called John Meenan. John confirmed the dealership's diagnosis for one hour of labor, and then repaired the problem, for 20% of the dealership's quoted price!  Thank you!!

Excellent Work and a true Diamond in the rough Individual!! We were told by other repair shops that my wife's car needed a new transmission. Cost could by $3500 for a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe with 110350 miles on it. So we started to look for a new car. A friend told me to call John Meenan at Meenan Transmissions in Willow Grove. After talking with John, his knowledge convinced me to drop the car off and at least let them check it out. The problem turned out to be a frayed wire between the cars computer and a sensor that tells the car when to shift. Because the wire was not connected the transmission was going into "safe mode" and the car was essentially stuck in 3rd gear. After the repair the car feels better now than it has in months. Meenan Transmission saved me thousands of dollars and gave new life to this old Hyundai that still runs great!! Thanks John and thanks to your employees who couldn't have been nicer!!

Took my Subaru to this shop. Have found that shop didn't follow explicitly given and confirmed directions and has significantly over charged for labor and new parts (beyond anything reasonable, prices for generic parts are as high as genuine OEM parts/service). 
Wouldn't own up to not following directions, claiming it is their "standard procedure".
Will definitely not come here again.
