Story

Our inspiration for Mike's Place comes from the Deep South. Old brick, wrought iron, fountains and plants surround the interior of our restaurant.
The atmosphere of old New Orleans is richly steeped in old world traditions and early European culture.
Keeping with these traditions, we feature only the highest quality shrimp, fish and shellfish from the Gulf Shores and serve only premium cuts of beef.
Each member of Mike's staff has been extensively trained and takes pride in providing the level of service you deserve.

Much of the population in and surrounding Conway have vacationed in New Orleans and the Emerald Coast at some time or another. Mike's Place emulates this power to entice, enchant and intrigue with the quality of food, service and atmosphere that sets the standard not only Faulkner County, but throughout the state.

Excellent food at great prices. Lots of lunch and dinner specials. This is the kind of place that everybody wishes they had right in their own neighborhood. They have sea food, steaks, pastas and appetizers. Mike Coats is the owner and is one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet. He came up and talked to us as if we have known each other our whole entire life. It was my first time there, but won't be my last, I can't wait to go back.

I was encourage to go to Mike's place from Brian at Comfort Inn I always take the recommendation of locals because they know exactly where to go. This indeed show True once again I went into Mike's and was greeted immediately I sat at the bar and the bartender Nick greeted me immediately the patrons at the bar were more than welcoming there was a prior Chief of Police that the locals call Chief his first name being Larry he protected this town of Conway for 34 years so it stands to reason that they would know him he told me a little bit about the town which was awesome. I got the crab cake for appetizer which I was skeptical because I know how crab cakes are supposed to be since my family comes from Maryland. The crab cake was small but was definitely full of lump crab meat it was under $8. I then decided to get the bacon wrapped scallops like I said on the East Coast they're bigger but you definitely don't get as many! They were delicious perfectly cooked! To top it off Mike the owner came by to say hi when he found out I was military I thought that was a nice touch that's him in the photo. So if you're ever stopping through Conway Arkansas I definitely would recommend Mike's place they'll make you feel right at home

Being the only classy restaurant within a 30-mile radius doesn't necessarily make you the best, and it kind of shows. A number of family members got together for my great-grandmother's birthday, but it was her misfortune to have been born on prom night, because they just shoved us into a room by ourselves and pretty much forgot about us for the duration of our meal. Everyone's food came at different times, and the menu is definitely fancier than the food. I can't speak for everyone, but my food was an ungodly salt bomb that wasn't worth the price of the plate it was served on. I'm sure they would raise the prices even higher if they could get away with it, though. The side dishes were all standard meat-and-threes that would have been more at home in a Golden Corral next to a truck stop. The steamed vegetables were definitely boiled and literally came soaking in butter, defeating the purpose of ordering healthy steamed vegetables. I cannot honestly say that I didn't enjoy the experience, but that room was so quiet that I could hear the wallpaper, which made the dinner feel awkward to me. I will say that the waitress was really friendly, which gives me some hope about the place. It's entirely possible that I dined there on the wrong occasion. I'll come back and give it another chance, but not unless I have a date to take the fall with me.

So disappointed in this place. When I moved here, all I heard was how Mike's Place is the best restaurant in Conway. Not even close! The food is pretty good, not great but the prices are insane. For the exact same price of a dinner for two with drinks and app, Brave New Restaurant is so far superior it's not even funny. The best restaurant in Conway is Pasta Grill, hands down!

Very clean restaurant, great staff, various menu items and beautiful food presentation. We had Mike's Burger with Red Beans and Rice. Excellent choice. Can't wait to return.
