Best stay I had in idyllwild , the room was very clean and had air conditioning unlike other cabins in idyllwild during the hot summer months. Our room had a California king bed, We had a great jacuzzi whirlpool tub and the price for the room was very affordable. There is a nice deck in the back to enjoy your morning coffee and there is a very good Mexican restaurant across the street. The owner Mary is a very friendly and helpful lady.

Although the cabins are cute and quaint, and the prices are cheap, DO NOT stay at the Mile High Country Inn. I had to call the Sheriff on the owner of the property, (an 80 year old crazy lady named Mary) on 11-08-15 for invading our privacy and letting herself into our room at 830am. She let herself in while me and my daughter were still in bed, sat on the couch, and would not leave, demanding more $$...She was in our room for almost 2 hours, still sitting on the same stupid couch, until I took a picture of her. I did not feel safe to leave her in our room, not knowing what she would do. Sheriff said they have had incidents before with her, actually taking her in for mental illness evaluations. It was supposed to be a fun mother daughter weekend get-a-way, but she was too much for me! I will be contacting the BBB, as well as the City of Commerce for Idyllwild, and definitely leaving appropriate posts on Yelp and all travel websites. (Also recommended by the Sheriff)  This lady should NOT be running a business, and if I can help another family avoid this from happing to them, then that's what I am going to do. DO NOT stay at the Mile High Country Inn!!!

Had a great time in the "Wisteria", even though the room smelled like ant spray and I was expecting a more secluded cabin experience. These "cabins" are structured a bit more like a motel, which was frustrating, but the experience was mitigated by the fact that there was a king-size bed, a whirpool tub in the room, and a nice little patio out the back. Glad I went, but probably won't go again.

Found this place on a list of Idyllwild hotels/inns with vacancies on a Saturday night. Called to make reservations and talked to Chris; super friendly, nice guy. He gave us a great deal on a room ($75, unbelievable on a Saturday night).
When we got there, Chris met us and offered to upgrade our room for free. The room itself was roomy and full of nice amenities like a king-sized bed, cable tv with DVD player, wi-fi, a heater, and a stack of firewood and firestarter bricks for the fireplace.
I definitely recommend going there if you find yourself in Idyllwild; it was a great value and our stay was quite comfy.  I'm amazed there are so few reviews of it online; maybe it needs to advertise itself more.
