I am writing this in behalf of my 90 year old grandmother. I take her to all her medical appointments and assist her with billing and insurance issues. Grandma had an appointment for a hearing and hearing aid check up on Jan. 20th. Her appointments are all covered by her primary and secondary insurnace. She gave the receptionist both her United Medicare and CHAMP VA insurance cards and the information was photocopied. Two weeks later she recieved two bills and two robo calls asking for $140.00 and of course she paid it. She is terrified of being behind on her bills. Once she informed me of the harassing letters and calls I called the doctors office. I was told at Mile High hearing that her insurance information was entered incorrectly so it was declined and subsequently billed by AMRS billing. I called AMRS billing and straightened out the confusion and I was told grandma would recieve a refund check for $140.00 in a couple of weeks. I followed up with both AMRS billing and Mile High hearing in the beginning of March and her claim was still not processed correctly, so no refund check was issued. I called again in the beginning of April and still her account was not settled and no check was forthcoming. I finally told both offices that if Grandma did not have a check by April 22nd I would take legal action. Both office blame the other for failing to submit the insurance information and for issuing a refund. I called both AMRS and Mile High hearing today 5/01 and I was told a certified check was mailed on Monday April, 24th. Grandma has recieved no check from either company. I believe grandma is being double billed and this is elder fraud. If both companies can be paid by elderly patients and insurance companies they double their money. Update 5/3- I was called by AMRS and Mile High and was told the original check was not sent certified mail but by regular post and is being held up for insuffecient postage at the Arvada post office. I was promised that a new check was sent certified mail and would arrive by Friday. We will see. MY ADIVCE? FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR AND DO NOT TRUST THE OFFICE MANAGER, ACCOUNTANT AND AMRS BILLING OFFICE.

When I lived in Denver, I trusted Dr. Todd Beatty with my little 1.5 year old when she was having recurrent ear infections. He was exceptional at explaining our treatment options and putting me at ease through the process. When she started having problems with her tonsils years later, I didn't hesitate to drive her from our new location in Colorado Springs to see him again. The care was again, exceptional.

From the time you walk in there a young lady that clearly hates her job. I don't think she even says hello she just collects your payment/co pay. The Doc was actually nice and seemed to take a general interest in you and what the problem is and frankly if the review was just for him it would be higher. My real issue is I just wanna pay my bill! Within days of visiting, they sent me a bill. Insurance had not even responded back. Disappointed at what seemed like a hasty bill, I called to figure it out and pay. After getting through the phone system I left a message for the billing lady/dept. I NEVER heard anything back. A few days later, yet another bill. I called to again ask questions and pay the bill. Never got a call back. Tried to call by the end of that day before they closed at 4:50 PM. Answering service picked up said everyone took off for the day. I have called a total of 5 times in two different weeks. I have not talked to anyone other than the answering service and the messages left were not returned. This office will waste your time, they've wasted enough of mine. I hope this costs them at least one patient. They make it clear their time is more valuable than yours.
