I just went to court to discuss a speeding ticket (where the car BESIDE ME WAS SPEEDING BUT I GOT THE TICKET) and I am thoroughly disappointed with the way it was handled. Basically the officer read out his "evidence" and since I had no evidence (obviously, am I supposed to have a camera or something in my car?!) I was guilty for speeding and had to pay the fine. These officers will literally stand around and wait to catch ANYONE. They probably have to meet a certain number of tickets every month or something and so are desperate to catch anyone they can. I would literally move out of Milton just because of this. It's disappointing that the citizens of Milton are at the mercy of the police.

My biggest complaint about Milton PD is not the dedicated officers who do their very best to keep the rest of us safe. No, it's having to go through a long question session with Alpharetta dispatch just to have an officer check a suspicious vehicle out, by which time the suspicious vehicle or person is long gone. Milton either needs to do its own thing, or give it all back to Fulton County. The problem is that when we all wanted all these micro-cities, but didn't put up enough money to pay for the essential services needed to efficiently run them. Separate but equal, ya know !
