I recently had an opportunity to seek the services of Dr. SAM Ecker, a new addition to Minnesota Dermatology. I came to him for advice on cosmetic options available to improve my overall appearance. He was very thorough about all options available to me, whether or not those services would be done directly by him or elsewhere. Dr. Ecker is a very enthusiastic advocate for his patients, and performed a procedure on me that day to reduce the appearance of my under eye puffiness. The impressive results were immediate, painless and affordable. While he is very knowledgeable and professional, he is also just as nice as can be.

I would recommend Minnesota Dermatology to anyone who has any medical skin related issues. They were incredibly profession, and made the procedure almost painless. They also understand how some customers have not the best health insurance and are very fair on repayment.

Great clinic, wonderful staff. I've been a patient since 2009 and won't go anywhere else. Everyone here cares about you as a person and patient.

Dr Ecker removed a basal cell spot from my forearm. Happy with that. No complications. Was unhappy with the full body evaluation. The dark spot on my temple that another dermatologist assured me was nothing when it showed up a few years earlier, was burned off by the "salesman" who assured me it could turn into cancer. That cost me a few hundred dollars. I fell for it because cancer is all over my family tree. The dark spot returned. The spot was again confirmed to be harmless when I needed a dermatologist to remove a squamous cell from my forehead. I'd have returned to Dr Ecker for that procedure if not for the money grab his salesman pulled off. Happy with the new dermatologist. Not saying who that was so this won't be misinterpreted as as an attempt to steer patients toward a particular office. It's wrong to play on a patient's fear to ring up an unnecessary dark spot removal sale. 12/7/17 update and reply from the patient. Long ago I asked to be taken off your email list, but got the Happy Holidays solicitation today. I'm glad I wasn't removed because I would not otherwise have read your reply to my review. I'm insulted. My review of your office is 100% accurate. I hope Santa brings you a big package of integrity this season. Please don't return it or regift it if he does. Now will you please remove my email address from your system? Thank you.

I'm leaving a review for Minnesota Dermatology not as a patient, but as someone who lives with a patient of theirs, and has accompanied them on their appts, and has seen how MN Derm operates. It is clear to me that the people at this office do not care about your time, your money, or your well-being. (ie, stress levels, blood pressure, sanity, etc.) They don't have a clue as to what they are doing in terms of simple things like scheduling appts and refilling prescriptions. Which is pretty unsettling since this is a medical office. And I have seen ZERO courtesy shown to my partner. Small courtesies, like returning a phone call, spending more than 5 minutes with the patient after they waited 30 minutes past their appointed time, or following through with ANYTHING you say you are going to do (and NEED to do), would surely go a long way in making someone feel at least a smidgen bit cared about. Based on what I have seen first hand, and the nightmares I see my partner suffer through with simple things like getting his prescriptions filled, I would never recommend to anyone that they go to Minnesota Dermatology. After every visit, I urge my partner to change derms, but he is, understandably so, worried that MN Derm would simply mess up the transferring of his records to a different clinic/office. SIGH
