Made an appointment to get my hair braided. Arrived at the store and there was no one available to braid the hair. They told me a wait, they will get someone to assist. After waiting an hour, the person arrives but informs me she doesn't know how to braid and I have to WAIT again.  What a waste of time! Very unprofessional and DO NOT CARE about customers or their time.  I do not recommend.

They do great work. I had an issue with them. They started braiding my hair 2 hrs in they wanted me to sit off to the side while they finish another client's hair that came in after me for 30-40 mind I didn't like that. I suggested that I come back when they could finish me. Another braider called me ungrateful for not wanting to wait. She said if I wanted to leave then they would need to take the braids out. I agreed to take the braids out. The other braiders along with the owner tried to get the boisterous braider to quiet down while simultaneously convince me to continue on with the braids. All in all I felt like the work is great but Mimi (not to be confused with Miriam the owner) is very unprofessional and highly disrespectful.

They Braid Really Good. I've been going there for the last 13 years!! The Employees Are Very Wonderful They Love Having Conversations with their customers☺️. This Is The Best Braiding Salon In New Haven😉!!!!

Overall worst braids I've ever gotten, they were done without care and they are not even, I guess you pay for what you get for right.
