Pretty decent pub fare. I had the club and I was very happy with it. Their fries are the thick, crispy kind that seem to have a flaky "shell". Delightful!

The staff are very friendly and attentive. I was there for lunch and there were plenty of staff available so no one had to wait.

The atmosphere is traditional southern bar with plenty of regulars. Good place for day-drinking.

Old style restaurant with an illegal moonshine running theme. Food selections are a sports bar type but reasonably priced. Lots of sharable options, comfort food options, and dinner options. Ordered the burger with house made chips. Both were great. Waitress was friendly and offered up suggestions on the craft still liquor options.

Ain't gonna lie...we came here the first time because of Bar Rescue. Boy, we weren't disappointed! I love the atmosphere, and the staff are super friendly, but Natalie is by far the most awesome one we've had! We make it a point to sit in her section if we see that she's here.
We try to come as often as we can, even though this part of Garner is a good drive from where we are.
I love the drinks they come up with, the food is amazing...I don't think we've had anything that wasn't good yet. We've always said, if they need taste testers we'd sign up hahaha!

I met my family for dinner one Saturday evening at the suggestion of my step-father. He hadn't been to the Saloon previously but had seen the episode of the reality television show for which the restaurant has a level of notoriety. I, though being familiar with the show, had no knowledge of this establishment. 

I can only blame myself for this oversight. 

The food itself was only passingly fair in my opinion (over-fried "world famous" buffalo wings) but the service was some of the best i have ever experienced. Incredibly friendly (brought my 2 year old nephew paper and crayons when the kid asked him to) and attentive, our waiter was there and friendly when we needed him but comfortably absent while we dinned. A mix up in the kitchen caused half of our tables' food to come out 10 minutes before the other half. Inconvenient, yes, but we were enjoying the bar decor, local craft beer, and moonshine cocktails so no one really even noticed. The manager stopped by to apologize and let us know that the remaining entrees would be out shortly. Sure enough, the food was promptly delivered to the table. While the rest of the table enjoyed their meals I was struggling with my order. I informed the waiter who addressed the issue immediately. The manager came out again to apologize and personally take care of my order. Sadly even those wings were sub par.  None the less, both my waiter and the manager were exceedingly kind, friendly and helpful. 

The drinks were good and the food was fairly priced but the decor and, primarily, the staff make this a restaurant worthy of your Saturday evening.

This bar and grill has a menu full of drinks created by the staff, and many of the drinks have something to do with the moonshine history of the area.  Also, they have good pub food.  I ordered a steak and was very impressed!  Staff was great too, Chris was our server and he was really attentive without being pushy.  I recommend it for sure.
