An absolutely BEAUTIFUL outdoor playground to take the whole family on an outing to! From the "Football Field size field smack dab in front of the clubhouse, to the wooded concrete walking paths weaving in/out of the woods through the whole neighborhood, if you have kids, they'll love the paths! All around safe, friendly, & place to visit!

Beautiful area for hiking and bouldering. Fun for all ages and dogs allowed, but subject to state/county leash laws and park rule. Yet, of the 12 dogs we saw only 4 we're on a leash. Great spot that deserves 5 stars, but loses 1 star for overwhelming popularity to break the leash law.

Moss Rock can be a fun little trip. It isn't a park as much as trails within a wooded buffer between neighborhoods that holds some pretty varied terrain. Some boy scout work has improved signage and bridges but largely the sites are purely natural. You'll forget how close you are to town except the occasional car rumbling can be heard. There are some flat paths but lots of rocks and roots. The waterfall is gorgeous but not easily reachable. There are thankfully two entrances on either side of the park so you can easily get to the boulders (for climbing), the waterfall, or the few scenic views. Lots of creeksides to explore. I've never seen any kind of park staff but there are porta potties. Lots of dogs off leash (even if the rules say otherwise). The biggest draw would be the bouldering you can do on the rocks.

Absolutely beautiful place. Had a great time at a local festival there. Parking is very limited but they did have shuttles running from the Hoover Met to the venue.

Great hiking and exploring through the woods without leaving the burbs. Very shaded, lots of large holders, ok for little kids or adults. Small restraunts nearby for a bite.
