This Motel 6 was by far the very best Motel 6 I have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly, the common areas were very clean and the room was a complete surprise.  Very very clean, great looking furniture, the room was amazing.  Next time I'm Idaho Falls I'll be staying in this Motel 6.  Thank you for a great nights sleep in a clean quiet room!!

We were up there for the eclipse on August 20th, 2017. Because the room was not exactly what we needed for the number of Adults/Children on this trip, we went back down as soon as we saw the room to talk to the staff at the desk about any options about changing rooms.

Unfortunately, there were no other rooms to switch to...but we had managed to find a hotel down the road who had the room (and beds) needed to suit us.

The staff and most notably the lady at the desk were EXTREMELY HELPFUL, COURTEOUS, and ACCOMMODATING to us!  They were VERY calm and talked to us about our options and were VERY nice and understanding when we asked if we could just cancel and get a refund.

I will admit to being a 'Marriott guy'... but I must commend the entire staff and the young lady behind the desk for being REALLY nice and courteous to us... better than some Marriott places I have stayed at around the world in my travels.  She was extremely kind to us, understanding of our situation, did not get upset, and allowed us to cancel AND get a refund!  If there was ANY number beyond '10' on 'Friendliness of the office staff' that I could select, I would choose that!  I'd say 100.

I would recommend that location to ANYONE planning to visit Idaho Falls and will make it a point to break my Marriott tradition and stay at the property on my next visit to Idaho Falls.

I've stayed here Many times while visiting Idaho Falls, Each time I've been greeted by great staff who was friendly and accommodating. The price was great compared to the other places around. And the room was clean. The only think that could have been better was free breakfast

The were painting so it smelled of paint fumes. No rooms on the first floor were available and no elevator in the facility. There was no indication they were painting or no elevator on the website. The internet was so slow, it would not load a page. It was roomy for the dogs and had a place in the back for them to run.

Room was clean, quiet, and pleasant for 2 nights.  It was conveniently located and the price was good.  
  The afternoon staff, though, was unable to provide accurate directions to us on the phone even though we were a very short distance from the hotel.  As a result of a "turn right at that stop light" instruction we ended up on a 45 minute diversion in the wrong direction.  Apparently, it was our fault that we did not have a smart phone to give us directions!  After two plane flights and a drive from Jackson Hole (12 hours en route to this hotel), this additional drive was not our fault.  Upon check-in, the cheerful pair (young blonde female and dark haired male) at the reception desk (who made excuses for not wearing any name tags) offered to upgrade us to a larger room.  Normally, an unsolicited offer by staff to upgrade a guest would be a nice and thoughtful gesture especially after giving us wrong directions.  But, this pair said it would cost us $45 more.  Wow!
  The gentleman who was on duty in the morning seemed much more competent and knowledgeable.  
 As an airline Captain, I have experienced a wide variety of service at hotels in my 20 year career.  Although the experience was definitely not the worst, it certainly was one of the more surprising ones that I've had in recent years.  
  Please ensure that your staff have access to a local map and are familiar with street names so that this does not happen to other guests.  Also, I must impress upon the company to insist that their employees wear name tags even if "the company is getting new uniforms".
