The staff is great. Very friendly and responsive. However, the room smelled of smoke, no vent in bathroom, the tub creaked under me as I showered, the bed had no sheet and no comforter (only a fleece blanket with holes) and was very uncomfortable, and walls are paper thin.

Room clean. Room decor is very dated. TV is very cheap. Unusual odor in room when first arrived. Noisy. Breakfast is just OK. Front desk person was very nice. Good location to River walk and Greenbelt.

Summary: 
Overall, the hotel was decent. The room was fairly updated, however the bathroom wasn't, and it could have been cleaner. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean, the fridge/microwave were both in good condition, and everything worked (tv, lights, outlets, etc.). For the price we paid, it was worth it. If we find ourselves in Idaho Falls again, we'll probably consider staying here. 

Details: 
The lobby was fairly updated and seemed clean. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the check-in process was quick and painless. 

The hallways were dated, and somewhat dirty, but there was a washer/dryer and working vending machines. 

The room itself seemed mostly updated, less the bathroom (see below). We got a room with three (pretty comfortable) queen beds, which was much nicer than two queens and a pullout sofa-bed. Linens and carpet were clean, but the carpet had a few stains. 

The vanity/bathroom was small and not updated. It was nice to have the vanity outside of the bathroom, but it was outdated, and there wasn't much space. The bathtub/shower was, again, outdated, and could have been cleaner. The main issue we had with the shower was the water temperature: when it was set on hot, it would fluctuate from hot to cool and back up again. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was kind of annoying.

Very nice peaceful.  Clean large rooms. Beautiful sunset. Great location. Lots of things to see.

The only reason I am even giving this a star is because the staff was very nice during my stay. I have been here this week on a business trip, and unfortunately have one more night to remain in this hotel. My stay has been the worst experience I've had in staying with any hotel. I have gone to the front desk multiple times each day because my card has not worked. This is frustrating after working a 10-12 hour day and have to continuously get new keys. Additionally, I come back today, August 17th, at 4:30PM to find that my room has not been cleaned. So, I have to return yet again to the front desk to make them aware of the situation. I will never recommend your hotel to anyone in Idaho Falls, nor will I allow my company to ever book me in a super 8 again.
