I’m a retired disabled veteran, the owner treated me with the best courtesy and respect I’ve had in a very long time. We unfortunately didn’t eat there , but stopped in for cold drinks. To me this restaurant is a 5 star in my book based on the ownership being a down to earth person and one who doesn’t judge his customers by the way they are dressed. I also wish-you Sir a very happy Hanukkah.

when you think of good pizza, you don't think of California really, and when you think of good New York style pizza, you definitely don't think of California, let alone Lake Tahoe. Mountain Slice has not only achieved the closest thing to an east coast pizza I have had since I lived on the east coast, but they have delectable coffee and espresso drinks and that ice cream, so smooth and rich! This is a hidden gem in Tahoe City and you will be kicking yourself if you pass this place up!

Best, most authentic New York pizza on the west coast, and certainly in the Tahoe/ Truckee area. (I would know, I'm from there!). The owner seems like a great guy and the staff is always friendly with quick, excellent service. Try their Italian sodas too - wonderful!! I only wish they delivered!
