Your department has shown no kindness or empathy at all in that video. I’ve bought homeless people meals at McDonald’s before and have never witnessed something like what happened at your McDonald’s with your officer. If the meal is paid for then they are a customer, they shouldn’t be judged by the establishment or the officer for being homeless. Your officer ISN’T the law either, she’s supposed to uphold the law and protect citizens but sadly it seems she’s got it backwards and needs better training and an attitude adjustment.

I don't know the full situation of what happened. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I can try to understand and agree that maybe the homeless guy and the guy filming were causing a commotion (highly unlikely and I don't believe it). BUT my biggest pet peeve is that your officer had said the words "I am the law"...pretty sure the first lesson you learn is that NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW and that NO ONE is law. This situation could have been handled in a much better and more respectful and reasonable manner. Shame on that officer and shame on your whole department if you don't feel the need that she needs to receive better training and I think she needs to apologize for her poor professionalism. Not to me or to the public but this the innocent men that she decided to mistreat in her mission to "protect and serve"

I am utterly disgusted by your actions. I have grown up in a family of law enforcement, I have supported law enforcement since I can remember. But this... Going along with a discriminatory command to take the food away from two gentleman trying to eat? An officer enforcing discrimination, and then stating that she is above it all? In other situations, this is called racism. I will not support your department, and I plan on letting what was done be known to everyone in my social circles. This should not be ignored, and you all should be greatly ashamed.

Your department is a disgrace! I'm very disappointed to see the lack of professionalism, compassion or plain human decency exhibited by the officer who treated the homeless man at McDonald's so poorly. She should truly be ashamed of herself. I'm sure Myrtle Beach has plenty of legitimate crimes the cops could be addressing rather than harassing hungry homeless people. I can't believe you would even respond to such a call. The officer doesn't deserve to wear a badge and, if she isn't severely reprimanded or fired (which she should be), I sincerely hope she receives a healthy dose of karma!

Your department needs to rethink about keeping that female officer on your staff. She is a liability if you want the truth. It seems by watching the video that she is “The Law”. Someone please knock her back down to earth. I’m confident that your department will handle this situation with the upmost integrity.
