Best Italian in town. This owner is passionate about all he does decor, food, and equipment. They have the right stuff espresso machine, proper fridges and cutting machines for meats. 

I have returned many times and each new dish is amazing. I am from the northeast and have connections to Italy. This place does it right by both standards, although it is more traditional Italian then NYC but that is by no means any disrespect it's just a style thing.

They are busy but what do you expect if they are good? Try the bar for quick eats.

Just go this is the place you want to go it you are even remotely thinking about it go, go now!

I went for the first time last night and was blown away by the taste, atmosphere and service! Our waiter was very attentive. I got the pasta with truffle oil cream sauce and added homemade sausage to it. The Cesar salad with fried palenta croutons was out of this world. Can’t forget the amazing flour less chocolate cake for dessert! This restaurant gets two thumbs up from me and the 4 others I was with last night!

Our second time, it was delicious both times. Well run, great food, seriously fresh and real Italian.  Ceasar salad croutons are fantastic. Muscle  are great, pasta and pizza are also terrific. Good for families or couples, took my mom and the family.

The new hot place in Sarasota. The pizza oven produced one after another wonderful pies. The breads were great. The pasta was perfectly prepared. Sit on the second floor and watch the kitchen work to prepare your meal. I am already planning my next visit.

The service here is really outstanding. They clearly train their staff very well and make sure the customer feels taken care of. That being said I truly do not understand soggy pizza. The outside crust was slightly crispy. The center of the pizza was a wet limp noodle. I even did some Internet research to see if this is how traditional pizza is in Italy. Turns out it’s not. I believe their wood-burning oven is either not set at the correct temperature or they are overcrowding it thus reducing the overall temperature. I really wanted to love this place because of the service and the ingredients they source seem to be very fresh. Pizza is a handheld food. This is why it is the ultimate street food. This pizza there was absolutely no way it could be lifted and hand held. It just flopped down limply and the toppings slid off.
