I'm afraid that disappointing is the best I can come up with. I had some lovely afternoon teas here before the change of name, and I assume ownership. I raved to a group of friends and was so excited to take them there, and subsequently rather embarrassed to have done so. I followed up our visit there with apology notes to each of them. Each of us ordered the full tea, which is $20 a person. Of four of us at the table, only one didn't have a challenge with the tea itself - I didn't get the one I ordered and two had tea so weak that it was tasteless. When they complained about the weak tea they got a song and dance about how strange that was considering the color of the tea, humming and hawing and "how strange"; the lady finally took the pot back to add leaves and returned to announce that the new employee indeed hadn't put enough leaves in. Why go through all but saying that the guests didn't know what they were talking about rather than just take the pot and figure out the problem. After that I didn't even bother to complain that mine was wrong. The sandwiches were fine, the smoked salmon was nice, and we all enjoyed those. The scones were pretty good, however four scones were served with about one tablespoon of clotted cream for the whole table - we had to wait over ten minutes for someone to come back into the room until we could ask for more. That request was met with raised eyebrows and we were then afforded one more equally sized ramekin of the cream. The amount of jam was fairly stingy too but we'd basically hit the point that we weren't up for waiting yet again, and risking yet another less than gracious response. The cakes layer was very disappointing. The biscuits (cookies) were okay, in all fairness. The fairy cakes (cupcakes) were terrible, they were dry and tasteless; not even what would otherwise have been a passable icing in copious amounts could save them. I'm English and I grew up there, so I know what a nice afternoon tea is supposed to be like. If you know what a proper tea is like, look elsewhere. Disappointing. Very disappointing.

I recently was shopping in Gulf Gate and happened upon this quaint little shop and tearoom. Out of the blue I stopped in and had a cuppa ( as they say in jolly old England) after reviewing the menu, my choice was the Traditional afternoon tea. I chose the British accents blend tea, it arrived with a delightful tea cozy over the pot to keep it hot. My server was courteous, friendly and very informative regarding the menu. My food arrived promptly and was Beautifully presented, finger sandwiches that included egg salad , ham salad, cucumber and cream cheese and my favorite smoked salmon and cream cheese spread. Orange cranberry scone accompanied by lots ofstrawberry jam and delightful clotted cream and finally last but not least was Victoria sponge cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, Scottish shortbread. It was all very delicious and extremely fresh. The price was $20 and well worth it in my opinion. The music was delightful relaxing and calming. It was a welcome respite in a hectic world. Look forward to returning soon and taking friends.

Very friendly and attentive staff kept my tea pot filled. Nice place to take a refined break or light lunch. You can have a traditional tea or just a pot and scone if you want. No paper cups here, your tea is served with real china.

What a nice way to celebrate a special occasion. Our group really enjoyed it. We will be back!

Nothing better than tea with friends! Owners and staff are a dream. Great location to also pick up British food, candy, and gifts.
