My experience at Naturally Trendy was horrible. I typically don't leave reviews at all but this time I really felt like I should. Shasa seems like a nice person however she seems to not understand that taking time to do something well is better than rushing and getting a bad result. My appointment was a 9:30, I called to say that I will be 10 minutes late and arrived at 9:42. She did not start my hair until 12:53, she did not bother to apologize and by 1:26Pm we were done. I really wish she had told me she had 3 other clients waiting already to be serviced, I would have brought my homework and would have gotten it done. I came with my hair washed and conditioned. I wanted a trim and two strands twist. She barely touched my hair. She took a section from the back and just cut my hair I looked at my perfect curls and was confused as to why she cut so much but I still assumed she is the professional and would not just cut my hair. She proceeded to twist my hair until the end without continuing with the trim. At this stage I was already upset so I just hoped that she does a good job twisting and I will plan to schedule a hair cut with another salon in two weeks. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and previously told her she can choose a style if she thinks it best fits my hair. Not only did it not look anything like the picture it did not look like a professional did it at all. some twists were really small, some medium and some really big then she proceeded to tell me that is is because my hair is not thick. I have never had anyone say that my hair is not thick usually they say that my hair tricked them because it's a lot thicker than it looks. She herself stated that I have a lot more hair than I think. I feel like she was rushing and did a HORRIBLE job. On the website it is written like she has more than one stylist but it was just her when I was there. I have been to natural salon before and this has been the worse experience. When she was done and I told her I did not like it she seemed offended as if she expected me to lie to her. She frowned and became indifferent. She might be a great stylist and maybe was having one of those days, however I will not go back. I drove 1hr:30 minutes to get to Naturally Trendy so for me it was not worth it at all. Update: It seems that the actual facts were lost somewhere in your response. I am glad that your explanation below makes you feel better. I am also happy to hear that you will take this as a learning experience as I will too. So in the spirit of peace may you continue your success.

The atmosphere is great and the owner, Kinshasa, is super friendly. I look forward at getting my dreads retwisted. I'm really glad I found this spot and the prices is good for good work. Highly recommended.

Shas is one of the best and most versatile stylists I have ever had. I trust her with anything from fresh cuts and blow outs, to twists, braids and the newest trendy styles. Shas can hook you up! She is super friendly and professional and takes her time with every client, making it feel like a very personal experience. I always get compliments and feel super confident leaving her shop (which is really clean and neat, by the way). Making appointments is easy and convenient through her website and I've never been disappointed. You have to go to naturally trendy!

Shas is the best!! She's Professional, personable, consistent. Great work every time. The salon is lovely and spacious. The only downside is that it's hard to book an appointment (Shas is very popular) and there is very little parking. (Street side parking) Otherwise, highly recommend!

Whenever I have an appointment she starts on time and I am out quickly. Very professional and I always feel amazing when I leave.
